This program supports personal growth, environmental stewardship, and community accountability while offering courts and partner agencies a reliable, transparent service option.

This program requires completion of an intake process before service begins.
ASCENDtials accepts individuals with non-violent, low-level offenses. Our program is highly ideal for: youth on probation, adults needing community service hours, diversion program participants, school-based referrals, and individuals needing structured, supervised hours.
Participants may complete hours through various hands-on community tracks. Assignments depend on availability, skill level, and program needs.
Beach and park cleanups, garden maintenance, urban greening, and ecological stewardship projects across San Diego's waterfront and community green spaces.
Supporting ASCENDtials' certified farmers' markets, food distribution sites, and community events — setup, logistics, vendor coordination, and direct public engagement.
Drumming, astronomy sessions, cooking, and culturally rooted programming that connects participants to community heritage and practical life skills.
Supporting youth and family programs as supervised assistants — garden learning stations, wellness sessions, and community enrichment activities.
Administrative support, data entry, outreach, and workforce development tasks that build transferable professional skills under staff supervision.
All participants are expected to meet the following requirements to remain in good standing and have their hours count toward their court obligation.
ASCENDtials provides official documentation for all completed service. All hours must be logged through the designated tracking system to be counted toward your court requirement.
Courts, probation departments, attorneys, and social service agencies may refer clients to ASCENDtials for community service completion. We provide a safe, structured, and community-centered environment for successful service completion.
